Camp Programs

With programs ranging from arts and sports, to various kinds of adventure, Camp Reece campers are sure to receive a robust and diverse experience. After trying all of our available activities, campers will then tailor their schedule to their strengths and interests. Please view our programs below!

Arts

Photography

Using photography as one avenue to explore the Adirondacks, campers will fully immerse themselves in their natural landscape! Through the use of both digital and film cameras, campers will document the various activities they partake in over the summer.

Multimedia

Campers will bring their creative stories to life through the exploration of multimedia – the combined use of text, graphics, sound, animation, and/or video. By utilizing the latest Apple multimedia software, campers will be able to exercise their creative muscles…and they might just find a new hobby in the meantime!

Graphic Design

The Graphic design summer program embraces the entire range of visual communication, recognizing that design is a cultural force that spans consumer, commerce and social causes. Reece’s professional team from around the world will provide a robust curriculum of conceptual problem solving, innovation, critical thinking and formal design, as well as branding and marketing strategies.

Organic Gardening

‘Seed to Table,’ our garden-based program at Camp Reece, empowers campers through hands-on experience. From gettin’ down and dirty planting seeds, to harvesting and preparing their crop in delicious seasonal recipes, campers will see their project through from start to finish. Not only will they have a satisfied appetite, they will carry healthy eating habits and the empowerment of following-through long beyond their time at Camp Reece.

Culinary Arts

From palate training, cooking and baking, to knife safety and skills, campers will full immerse themselves in the culinary arts. Our culinary arts instructors will bring campers through the fundamentals to more intermediate skills, equipping them with a new arsenal of skills!

Adventure

White Water Rafting

The Hudson River is rated in the Top 10 Whitewater Rafting Experiences in the U.S. With seventeen miles of class III-IV+ whitewater combined with spectacular scenery, each camper with gain memories that will last a lifetime. With weekly trips, each cabin will participate in a full day-trip, taking them through the heart of the six million acre Adirondack Park.

Water Sports

Camp Reece offers a variety of fun-filled water activities for our campers. Throughout the summer, campers will have ample opportunities to get their feet wet while wake-boarding, waterskiing, tubing, kayaking, and more!

High Ropes Course

Ramblewild is Feronia Forest’s first tree-to-tree adventure destination! Campers will explore the Feronia canopy where they will discover excitement, challenge, and personal growth!

Field Trips

Camp Reece offers weekly field trips to exciting area attractions including Six Flags Great Escape, Natural Stone Bridge and Caves, The Painted Pony Rodeo, Fort Ticonderoga, Lake Placid, & more!

Sports

Swimming

Campers will dive in to our progressive swimming curriculum. Grouped with peers of similar skills, campers will develop their confidence in the water – all while staying in accordance with Red Cross standards!

Tennis

Whether beginner, expert, or anything in between, campers will thrive on the tennis courts! Tennis can empower individuals with autonomous or teamwork skillsets that translate beyond the court. 

Soccer

Campers’ soccer skills are sure to improve with our daily drills and games! Camp Reece utilizes teaching that appeals to all genders, of all levels, abilities and ages.

Biking

Whether beginner, expert, or somewhere in between, our biking courses and instruction are sure to take those skills to the next level. Campers can choose from classes in basic skills to more advanced levels such as free ride and downhill. Plus, we offer special clinics with guest instructors throughout the summer.
