Our family highly recommends this terrific program
Our 11 year old son had an excellent experience at Camp Reece - Skidmore College. Every day was a new adventure, his campmates were welcoming and the Camp Reece team was fun, communicative and caring. We are so appreciative that this first experience at camp built up his self-esteem and independence. Based on the positive Camp Reece experience, we made a decision to enroll our son in a specialized boarding school and he is truly thriving. Our son is already asking to attend Camp Reece again next year and looks forward to seeing his friends and camp leaders. Our family highly recommends this terrific program."
Thanks so much

Camp Reece knocked it out of the park
Cole had a fabulous time! He sent us a note that said "This camp is great!" He also said that he gives Camp Reece an 8/10. He says that he definitely wants to come back next year but he was not thrilled when I said it would have to be for three weeks. He wants two but I am sure he will get over it. He said he really enjoyed Six Flags, the river rafting, tubing, the pool, and having one hour of phone time. Camp Reece knocked it out of the park. Cole usually complains to us about camp but not this year. He had a wonderful time and apparently made a friend in a girl named Gabby.
Thank you for giving him such a wonderful, memorable summer. I am very grateful.
Best,
Patty P.
A wonderful opportunity for kids with special needs
I can not even begin to explain the joy I felt picking up my son from Camp Reece and seeing him with friends, laughing, joking around, relaxed, comfortable and accepted. I struggled not to cry tears of joy! This camp was and is a wonderful opportunity for kids with special needs!
Easy transition for my daughter
My daughter just arrived yesterday, but I wanted to give a shout out to the staff and the administration. Gorgeous campus, lovely dorms, super friendly staff! Easy transition for my daughter as she embarked on her first 3-week sleep away camp experience. So far, we are very impressed! Very responsive camp contact too! Well done!
"Excellent opportunity for kids to get a break from their parents"
Camp Reece is an excellent opportunity for kids to get a break from their parents and siblings. I am a camper who has recently returned back home. This has been my second year at camp and it has been a blast meeting new friends and new counselors. The counselors don't all just come from the US. Some also come from places like UK and Germany. Camp reece is a great camp and I highly recommend going there. I give it a 5 star review and hope to see everyone next year.

I cried tears of joy
I just want to again take a moment and thank you both for making this summer so special for Sean. I watched the video of Session 2 and I cried tears of joy seeing him having fun and having friends. What a great environment for him to do all of these wonderful activities with kids who just enjoyed his company and were not judging him or making fun of him. It was great to see the Sean that emerged from under that shell. I sent the link to his grandparents and his older brother and sister! Everyone was just amazed at the difference in him in those clips!!
Our family cannot thank you enough for making this happen.
Best wishes and God Bless,
Tara P.
"I’m not ready to leave yet"
For months before the camp began we had been talking to Tate about the opportunity he was going to have and he was, in theory, really excited about it. Once we pulled up to Skidmore College, he had a melt down and was gripped by anxiety about being left all alone by his family who were planning on returning to NYC for the week for our daughter’s musical theatre camp. Over a period of 90 minutes, we helped get Tate comfortable with the dorm, the counselors and his room mate. Finally he looked us in the eye and told us, “ I can do this. You can go”. So, we left.
A few days later I contacted you to see how things were going since we had not heard anything. The photos and messages that were shared confirmed that Tate was doing well and participating in everything. When my husband David went to pick him up on Saturday at noon, he took one look at him and said,” Dad, you are early. I’m not ready to leave yet.”

"I’m not ready to leave yet" (cont'd)
Over the 6 days Tate was at Camp Reece, he has the most wonderful time. He learned to rely on himself more, challenged himself in many many ways, and made some new friends. He has said on more than one occasion that he would like to return next year for the full three weeks. It was the best growth experience of his life to date and has proved to be a huge confidence builder. He started a new school yesterday where he only knew one person ( The Winston School in Del Mar, CA) and he had a fabulous first day. When I picked him up from school he said the first day was really great and when I asked him what it was like, he said it was like Camp Reece- new kids, a new place with kind people and super fun! Thank you for giving Tate this opportunity to grow and to become more independent. It was also a wonderful experience for my husband and I to have a week alone together with our other child.
Many Thanks,
From Patsy M.
